Second Meeting of Green Fertiliser Development Network

Dear all,
We are pleased to invite you to the second GFDN roundtable, on 24 April 14.00-15.00 CEST. This session is dedicated to development finance and investment models for green fertilisers. Join us here to be part of this insightful discussion on green fertiliser investment.
The aim is to explore what it will take to mobilise finance and de-risk investment in green fertiliser projects across emerging markets. From concessional capital and blended finance to buyer alliances and price guarantees, we’ll examine practical tools to unlock bankable projects and support local, farmer-focused production at scale.
We’ll hear brief inputs from:
- Cristian Carraretto, Associate Director, Head of Sustainable Business & Infrastructure / Energy Transition, EBRD
- Nikita Levine, Business Development Director, ATOME Energy
📌 ATOME Energy has recently signed a $465 million EPC contract for its green fertiliser project in Paraguay—a reminder of the scale of ambition and the critical importance of fit-for-purpose finance, strategic offtake, and early-stage capital to get these projects off the ground in EMDCs.
Discussions will be moderated by Jonas Moberg, CEO, Green Hydrogen Organisation (GH2), and followed by an open exchange among participants on priorities, challenges, and practical collaboration opportunities.
As with our first meeting, we see this group as an informal space for light-touch coordination—designed to share intel, identify collaboration opportunities, and build informal alignment across the green fertiliser landscape.
If you're unable to attend or know of others who should be in the room, please feel free to forward this invitation. Find more information about the GFDN and insights from our previous meeting on our website.
