Green Hydrogen at COP30
Green Hydrogen Organisation is part of the Global Renewables Hub, a joint pavilion by the Global Renewables Alliance and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).
Located in the Blue Zone at Parque da Cidade, Belém, the pavilion has the backing of 15 sponsors, including Adani Green, CIP, Fortescue, Google, Moeve, and Topsoe, among others, all participating at a significant level.
Renewable electrification is accelerating, but green hydrogen is vital to take renewables further into sectors such as chemicals, steel, fertilisers, shipping and aviation. GH2 is part of the Breakthrough Hydrogen Agenda and will take part in a High-Level Clean Hydrogen Roundtable alongside the COP30 Presidency. GH2’s COP30 programme features the launch of the Green Iron Principles; high-level roundtables on solving financing challenges and sessions with leading shipping companies, partners and nations including members of the Africa Green Hydrogen Alliance and Small Island States to drive action on the IMO Net Zero framework; alongside GH2’s continued scrutiny of blue hydrogen and its call to ensure that only hydrogen delivering credible, science-based emission reductions is incentivised.
